Attendance Vision Statement
At Carmountside Primary Academy, we believe that every day in school matters. Regular attendance is essential for children to achieve their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our vision is to foster a school culture where attendance is a shared responsibility between school, families, and the wider community. We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to remove barriers to attendance and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and motivated to come to school.
We strive to create an environment where children are excited to learn, feel a sense of belonging, and understand the value of being present. Through early intervention, personalised support, and positive relationships, we aim to help every pupil maintain excellent attendance and make the most of their educational journey.

What to do if your child cannot attend school
Please contact the school office on the first day of absence before 9.30am on 01782 234676.
Please explain the reason for absence and give an estimate of how long your child is likely to be absent. If you have not informed the school office of your child’s absence by 9.30am on the first day of absence a text message or phone call will be made.
