Welcome to our Early Years
At Carmountside, we are very passionate that children at our school get the best possible start to their educational journey.
We are very proud of our Early Years and we have a fantastic team who will ensure that your child has access the best provision, in a caring and nurturing environment.
Children in our Early Years follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). The EYFS curriculum has seven main areas of learning. We use a planning in the moment approach which is largely based on the children’s interests alongside provocations to inspire curiosity, awe and wonder. Alongside this approach we also recognise the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare them for future success and provide them with opportunities to enhance their learning and experiences through carefully planned activities, trips and events. Providing high quality inclusive education and care to all.
