PE (Physical Education)

In Physical Education (PE), we learn how to move our bodies in a variety of ways and develop our skills across a wide range of physical activities and sports. Pupils explore how regular exercise supports a healthy lifestyle and contributes positively to both physical and mental wellbeing.
PE plays an important role in building confidence and personal growth. It encourages resilience, teamwork, and effective communication, helping pupils to persevere when challenges arise and to work cooperatively with others.
We provide opportunities for pupils to experience a broad and balanced PE curriculum. Lessons take place in our school hall and outdoor spaces, supported by both class teachers and specialist coaches, using a variety of equipment. Physical activity is also embedded across the wider curriculum through active learning in the classroom, alongside a rich programme of extra-curricular clubs and activities throughout the year.
Pupils enjoy both recreational and competitive sport, with opportunities to take part in in-school competitions as well as events against other schools across our local area.
