Modern Foreign Languages - French
We believe that the learning of a language provides a valuable, eductional, social and cultural experience for our pupils. By learning another language, our pupils will not only develop communication skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing, but also develop an awareness of cultural differences in other countries and help equip our pupils with the skills to be confident global citizens. At Carmountside we have chosen French as it is a widely spoken language across the world and, as it is taught in the secondary schools our pupils move onto at the end of Year 6, lays the foundation for future language learning.
