Carmountside Primary Academy

Design & Technology at Carmountside Primary Academy intends to teach practical skills that are transferable in a number of other subjects, as well as the children's life outside school. The school uses a variety of teaching and learning styles that encourages children to learn to think  creatively to solve problems, both as individuals and as members of a team. Pupils are taught the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to engage in a process of designing, making and evaluating products. They work in a range of contexts through our Learning Challenge approach which allows for cross curricular links to be made.
